On May 1 the officers and tournament committee met via the Internet to discuss our options for this season. (Thank You to Frank Rossetti for chairing that!)
It was agreed by all that it is our intention to adhere to all NY State Executive orders and regulations.
Our meeting included a lot of discussion on options for the season and there was general agreement on how we should proceed with decisions.
At his time no decisions have been to effect any changes to our schedule, (Except for the previously cancelled pike tournament) pending the next round of announcements from the Governor's Office which is expected by May 15. The officers and tournament committee will have another virtual meeting after that announcement and we will get a notice out to all members regarding our the status of our first scheduled event (June 13/14 at Rouses Point). by May 20.
Please keep checking your email to further updates.
At this point there has been no guidance offered by New York Bass Nation, although they have a virtual meeting scheduled for club representatives next Saturday May 9which I plan to log on to.
I want to thank all of the officers and committee members who have worked together during this difficult time.
It is my hope that everyone will continue to be careful and follow all suggested measures to avoid getting the virus.
Be Safe and be hopeful that we will be able to have some events this summer.
