Our second tournament of the year (Which I named the “Mudhole” tournament), was certainly a lot less enjoyable than our first event. Frank and myself had a stressful week before the event, constantly checking weather reports and checking the river for floating debris. We did not even decide that it was safe to go until the day before the tournament. The muddy conditions in the river turned a mediocre fishery into a real tough fishery and the results sure showed that. With 25 members participating there were only 54 fish caught-only 5 limits and 20% of the field did not even catch a keeper fish. Al Maher did a great job to lead with a weight of 10.81 lbs , while Joe Curcurito was second with 9.76 lbs and Mike Richard was third with 9.58lbs. Joe had the lunker of 3.24lbs. Congratulations to Al, Joe and Mike! Now I know why our last trip to this launch site was in 2005!!!! Results: Click Here Photos: Click Here |
